Movie Review: JoJo Rabbit (12A)
JoJo Rabbit: (12A)
The movie was very funny, with some incredible acting, alongside the imaginary friend Hitler, who provides much of the comedy, as its a young boys head, He can only imagine what he would say if he was real...A World War II satire following an awkward young German boy raised by a single mother, and whose only ally is his imaginary friend Hitler. His naive patriotism is tested when he meets a young girl who upends his world views, forcing him to face his biggest fears. My second movie, I chose to see in my movie marathon, was JoJo Rabbit, which was somewhat of an interesting choice, its classed as a comedy however there was some hard hitting subjects and you do come out feeling like "Oh..."
Set inside the second world war, the child sets out to become part of the army, but disaster strikes, and finds an unexpected visitor in the walls... who over time, builds a trust and friendship.
Would recommend this film? Yes/No; again, if you're easily offended then I wouldn't recommend it, however if you're looking for a laugh, with a sentimental element, then I would recommend checking it out.
