Bat Out Of Hell The Musical: Germany

Friday night was Show night, and our last night in Germany, so we decided to end our trip, and mainly the reason why we headed over to Germany to see Bat Out Of Hell The Musical in German, and blimey it was incredible! Let's say I've missed this show, is a big understatement, I was devastated when it closed in the UK back in Jan 2019, however booking to see the German version was absolutely incredible.

The pic of me, is on the stairs in the main theatre foyer area of the theatre, with a red carpet and press background, so thought it was only right to get a photo in front of it.

I was quite surprised with the merchandise stand, there was a lot of merchandise that was specially created for the show in Germany, and as the show is closing in 5 weeks (correct at the time of printing), they were heavily discounting stuff, which was a bonus, £65 (our money) later, I'd picked up a hoodie, programme, (plus one for a friend), and T-Shirt later, It was show time.

We ordered an interval drink; See pic below, with a lovely touch, a table reserved for drinks, with a name of "Tom"

Showtime! Boom! A Completely different opening to the UK version, where the speech is Raven, talking about her parents; who we see on stage.

The performance of German bat was lead by a young man called Robin, who is lead Strat in Germany, and he was outstanding, reminded me of our UK Strat Simon, with how beautifully he delivers lines from the songs.

Some of the songs are sung in part German, part English and it works really well... if you've seen it enough times like me, you'll easily be able to translate the words.

So, we get to the big part of the show, Where Robin sings his heart out in Bat Out Of Hell; the titled track, now we all know in the UK version, the confetti cannon goes off twice, I wasn't quite expecting to be covered head to toe in Strat Blood, as we know it...  That was the remains of the Strat blood to end the first half... front row mind...

The second half was incredible, we found it extremely emotional the amount of effort they were putting into the performance and when it got to that famous song in the show that makes me cry, I was crying, as the bit that sets me off, is sung in English... :-( so balled my eyes out. Such meaning to me that song.

Bows and Encore from the night can be found via www.facebook.com/thetomtalksshow

The end of the performance with instructions from our UK 2nd Cover Tink, Kyle Roberts, we headed to Stage Door, thankfully he told us where to go, and we went around to stage door, to meet the cast, we met the German Falco, and Jagwire, Kyle from the UK cast, and then Robin, who was our Strat, who was absolutely incredible. We stood and chatted with Robin for ages, talking about the German production, what he was up to next, The English production of Bat and also Danielle Steers, who plays Zahara, about how she can make an entrance and you're fixed on this beautiful lady...

Bat Out Of Hell In Germany finishes soon, so if you do want to pop over and see it, I'd strongly recommend it.

Really enjoyed my German trip, and Bat Visit! Can't wait until the next adventure!!
